IGR Game Store

Solo engineer, architecture through deployment

Private membership e-commerce platform for a trading card game retailer

IGR needed a platform built around the way their business actually works. Exclusive drops, a limited member base, and high demand on release day meant reliability and fairness had to be built in from the start. I designed and built the entire system and continue to manage the infrastructure.

What was built

  • Inventory on limited drops is protected so no member can tie up stock another member is actively trying to buy
  • Payment processing is reliable end to end, reducing the risk of disputes or orders that slip through without payment
  • Tax compliance is handled automatically based on how each order is fulfilled, removing a manual step and the risk of getting it wrong
  • Store credit balances are always accurate so members and staff can trust the numbers without having to verify them
  • New products can be scheduled to go live and notify the entire member base automatically, turning a manual process into a hands-off one
  • Day-to-day housekeeping like expired holds, abandoned orders, and upcoming renewal reminders runs on its own without staff involvement
  • Ownership has a clear view of where revenue is coming from and how members are spending over time

Analytics & Reporting2022–Present

Asheville, NC Med Spa

Ongoing consultant, analytics and technology

Long-term analytics and technology partnership for an ~$1.2M/year multi-location med spa

I have worked with this med spa since 2022 across a range of data, reporting, and technology needs. Over time the relationship has grown to cover recurring financial analysis, purpose-built tools, and strategic consulting. They treat me as an ongoing resource rather than a one-time vendor.

What was built

  • Recurring financial analysis gives ownership a clear, up-to-date picture of how the business is performing across both locations
  • Processed three years of practice management exports to surface revenue trends, patient volume growth, and discount rate changes that were not visible in the raw data
  • Identified key-person revenue concentration and provider attrition risks, giving ownership specific areas to address as the business grows
  • Built an interactive dashboard with charts covering monthly revenue, provider performance, location breakdown, and service mix so ownership can see the full picture at a glance
  • Designed and deployed a custom Raspberry Pi digital signage system so staff can update waiting room displays by uploading images to a web portal, with no technical knowledge required
  • The signage system runs on AWS S3 for content delivery with a browser-based health dashboard, automatic syncing, and a read-only SD card setup that protects the device from corruption

Managed Hosting Clients

Infrastructure and DNS management

Website hosting and DNS management for small businesses across North Carolina

Several businesses across NC have their sites hosted and managed through Burnett Tech Solutions at a flat yearly rate. Clients handle their own WordPress build and design. I handle everything underneath it, the server, DNS, uptime, and keeping things running. It is a straightforward arrangement that saves small businesses from dealing with hosting headaches or paying for services they do not need.

What was built

  • Business owners keep full control of their site content and design without needing to understand anything about how the server works
  • DNS is managed centrally so domain changes, email routing, and SSL renewals are handled without the client needing to get involved
  • Sites stay online reliably at a price that makes sense for small businesses that do not have an IT budget
  • A single point of contact for anything infrastructure related means issues get resolved quickly without bouncing between providers
